While the Cats away the mice will play, Apparently!

Oh the joys!

We were off at WPPI, meanwhile, interesting events unfolded in our absence?

So here we go:

Well, we already have a lot of them but we're lookin' for more!!!

When TK left Grandville there was a void that needed to be filled. We know this because of former TK clients that came to us looking for consistent, repeatable professional photography.

Well, we're here to let you know we can fill the void!

Find out how we exceeded our new clients expectations and get the same deal they got!

We've had such great response from our local advertising campaign that we've extended the offer to ALL former TK clients regardless of location! That's 40% pricing on your print order!!!!!

Along with that we have our always, 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!! If you're not happy, we're not happy, plain and simple!

Customer service and satisfaction is our number one goal! We don't just say that, we deliver!

That's it for now,

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to WPPI we go...

Well, we're off to WPPI in Vegas. We are going to check out the newest latest and greatest stuff! I'm really looking forward to checking out the new Hasselblad H3D-31 medium format digital camera!!

I must admit, I'm also looking forward to some time off and a little sunshine.

We're still working on getting the new images posted on the website. I had hoped to get them all posted this week but it was so stinkin busy I didn't even think I was going to get all of the work done before I left for Vegas! So, as soon as I get back I'm making that a priority.

That's it for now, short and sweet.

A Great Compliment

As I was thinking about the week ahead and reflecting on the past week I remembered something one of my new clients said during their session a few days ago.

He said "the reason I chose you was because I checked out a lot of websites and CLICK photographic has better on location event photography than most other photographers in studio photography".

I didn't think much about it at the time, just said thanks, but he got me thinking. My goal is to provide the absolute best photography at a very affordable price and it's great to get feedback that everything I strive for is coming to fruition.

The other thing I really appreciated was fact that he knew that shooting on location was a lot different than shooting in studio.

It's easy to shoot in studio under controlled conditions, I do it all day long both at the Jenison studio and the GR studio. Having all the space, lights, modifiers, scrims, flags, gobos, etc...everything you need to tweak lighting to perfection right there at hand. Compare that to a gym, cafeteria or 12x16 foot room with mixed lighting not to mention the added pressure and it's a whole different story.

It was just so refreshing to hear that! Comments like that renew my vigor and give me drive to become an even better shooter.

Another busy week!

I don't know exactly how this past week got so busy? With only five scheduled appointments, I was looking forward to a nice quite week to work on the marketing stuff and make some much needed website additions. I haven't added any new pictures since November 06 so I'd say the website is due for an update! My time was split between the Jenison studio and the downtown GR studio so maybe that's why it seemed so busy.

Here is my favorite pic for the week from the J-town studio:

I've been playing around with my lindahl lens filters, a #3 and #4 combo got me this shot.

My favorite downtown studio pic for the week was this one:

I just love it.

We're still looking at buying a building in either Grandville or Jenison. Each one has it's own advantages. Jenison would be nice because it's close to home. Grandville would be nice since we have a lot of clients there. We should do a little looking in Hudsonville as well since we have clients there too. Decisions, decisions.

Keep an eye out for some more great specials coming up as well as some New product offerings.

We will also have some new additions to the website!

That's it for now.

Yeah, yeah, I know it's been over a month!

We have a ton of new stuff comin' up.

We did a little local marketing test a couple days ago and WOW! (that's all I have to say for now, it'll be interesting to see how many other photographers copy it).

We have a lot more headed down the pipeline, so stay tuned!

Our goal is to offer the absolute best images at a price that just makes you say how?

2008 SENIORS - Want to be a CLICK senior Rep? email us your myspace link or website and we might just choose you as a rep and you'll get good stuff (aka free prints, announcements and more...).

We're looking for 1 more rep in East GR, 2 more in Jenison, 2 more in Grandville, 3 more in Hudsonville and 5 more in Allendale. Tell us who you are, what your passion is, what makes you...well, You! Top school reps get free pics and more! Are you from a different school than Jenison, EGR, Grandville, Hudsonville or Allendale? Drop us and email! We're always looking for more reps (limit 10 per school) hook us up, we hook you up!

So what's new with CLICK?

We've been busy to say the least. I'll be straight up. I have priorities and they go like this. First and foremost, numero uno, #1, top of the heap, the best thing ever, my reason for being, God! Next we have Family and friends, and then my business. My blog is pretty far down on the list to put it bluntly. Don't get me wrong, I love the blog but it seems like it's turning into "what's my baby up to" monthly journal. So I'm launching the "what's baby up to" blog to give some separation.

CLICK NY west is just ROCKIN'

We moved into our 2,500 square foot downtown Grand Rapids space with the sole intention of senior portraits but we're finding it's perfect for shooting 8 to 40+ person family groups year round!!! I didn't mention in my last post that the hand painted background is just shy of 19 feet wide. That's right, if you want family pictures in January you're not limited to waiting til Spring or plain white for 10 people or less, and I'm not talking about snow for the background! Our 21' cyc wall and big space has you covered! We're adding 3 more ultra wide backgrounds over the next two months besides our basic white and black.

Oh Snap! Remember Galleria?

CLICK Galleria Canvas Gallery Wraps!!! Let it be known we're the first to offer them here in West Michigan! Matte, Gloss, Brushed and Old Masters! call us or check the site for all the details! We also have new mounting options for gallery wraps as well.

So what else...?

Oh Yeah!
Yeah Baby, Yeah (as Austin Powers so sussinctly put it). They're not just for babies anymore.
Custom Photo Handbags.

Yep, that's right, photo handbags can be fun!. I call that one mullet style (business in the front, party in the back). We did the research and we've found the absolute best quality bag manufacturer out there. Check out some of our samples at your next session and see why there really is a difference in photo bags! (btw, we we're the first again on this one)

So what...?
Just a few sample shots from CLICKNYwest.com

It's a little sample, we have more great stuff but don't want to give away too much ;)

And now for the "what's baby up to" section! (haven't launched the dedicated blog yet)

She's great! We're so thankful!!! She's cooing, laughing, smiling and the only time she's crabby is when she's hungry! We are so blessed and I thank the Lord every day for the little bundle of joy He's given to us!

Bailey is an awesome big sister!!!! We're still working on getting her to change a diaper :) I get all gooshie when I see her interact with the baby, I should grab my camera but there are some moments where you just separate from what you do for a living and just enjoy the moment.
